About Us
The Montessori Teacher Preparation Program for Early Childhood (ages 2-1/2
to 6) is located in Castro Valley California in cooperation with California State University, East Bay.
Our mission is to:
- Prepare Montessori teachers with deep grounding in Montessori's
philosophy.
- Develop individuals who have a broader approach in the contemporary
context of child development and educational thought.
- Create teachers as “scientific pedagogues” who see the prepared
environment as a dynamic system that “follows the child” in the pursuit of
her / his intellectual and moral needs.
